Sadly our London shop has now closed.
Due to a multitude of reasons this shop is no longer open. However, we do come up to London every so often to meet with customers, press and friends. We also have a very successful online shop and we are still able to provide our unique couture service by email and telephone. For those of you willing to travel to Abergavenny in South Wales - we are more than happy to welcome you at our studios where there is an extensive range of clothes and interiors on display - in fact far more than was ever available in the shop. Our collections are available in the Plus Collections Department in Harrods and there is an extensive range of scarves and shawls in the Accessories Department in Liberty Regent Street. Charles and Patricia Lester have recently opened their first designer shop and it is in central London. This is the first time that all their creative and unique work has been shown together in one location. Their creations cover a very wide range of textiles and fashion design for both the home and the feminine woman, whether she is petite or plus size.

have a personal shopper and consultant in London who would be pleased
to see you by appointment, including after the normal shop hours and show
you the wearable art collection of designer women's clothing from petite
to plus size. The largest selection from collection is of course in our
new London shop. You can visit our design studios in Wales. We
are within easy reach of London very near to Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Swansea
and Hereford. Abergavenny has very good motorway connections to Birmingham,
the Midlands and the West Country. We would be pleased to meet you should

Things to do and see in South Wales and its luxury hotels and famous restaurants
Abergavenny is known as The Gateway to Wales and is at the start of the Brecon Beacons and the Brecon Becons National Park. The M4 motorway makes all the South of England and home counties accessible to this unique market town. Abergavenny is in South Wales, it is not far from the cities of Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Hereford, Newport and Swansea. There are very good rail and road links with the West Midlands, Birmingham, Oxford, the West country - Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Avon and Cornwall. Abergavenny is also at the hub of many famous events, with so many things to do and see, even Harry Potter's bus stopped at Abergavenny! The Brecon Jazz Festival is only twenty miles away as is the Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport which has several golf courses and is to be host to the Ryder Cup in the year 2010. The internationally famous Hay Literary Festival, held at Hay on Wye, attracts many famous visitors including Bill and Hilary Clinton, who were guests at this year's festival. There are a number of places to stay from the exotic and luxurious hotel - Llangoed Hall (the inspiration of Sir Bernard Ashley - cofounder of the Laura Ashley fashion label) - to The Bear in Crickhowell (winner of the British Pub of the Year Award as well as the AA Welsh Pub of the Year. Gliffaes Country House Hotel is only five miles from the town and is set is over twenty acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is on the banks of the river Usk, famous for its salmon and trout fishing. Extensive fishing rights on the river can be used by hotel guests. The Three Choirs Festival (Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester) a celebration of choral music, is only an hours drive away. Abergavenny is in the heart of the county of Monmouthshire, a county that has more castles and fortified houses than any other county in Britain.
